Mongolia - September, 2013
In September 2013, I made an extraordinary journey with a small group, to Mongolia, the land of the Blue Sky in the hope to reconnect with my long lost Mongolian ancestors. It truly felt like I was finally coming home. I was overwhelmed with emotions the moment the pilot on our plane announced that we were approaching Ulan Bator. An unseen hand was beginning to paint hues of blue, red, orange and yellow across the sky, producing a spectacular sunrise over this powerful and magical land. We were so warmly welcomed by our host (a shaman) and her family who did their very best to make our trip as authentic and memorable as possible. There is so much to share, so many magical stories to tell, but at this moment, I am still trying to process and integrate the entire experience. Life will no longer be the same for me. I was truly blessed with a very strong and unexpected initiatory experience with the Mongolian shamans on this trip which led me closer to my ancestral tribe, the Darkhads. This story or journey began about a year ago at a Burmese temple in Penang, Malaysia where the spirit of my shamanistic grandfather urged me to make this maiden voyage to Mongolia to reconnect with my ancestors. A story that I will begin to write! I am now to return to Mongolia, every year for 3 years to perform the Darkhad shanars (initiatory ceremonies for the shamans) to further deepen my own shamanic work and to help preserve the ancient wisdom of Mongolian shamanism. Below are some of the images from my trip. Next year, I hope to meet the Reindeer (Tsataan) shamans in the Northwest of Mongolia, namely Gosta who lives in Taiga (accessible only by 10 hours on horseback!) near Huvsgul lake (1000 km from Ulan Bator, a 2 million year-old, sister lake to the most sacred Lake Baikal). Adventures to be continued....! Enjoy the photos and the video of the fire ceremony is on my homepage! Many blessings and love, Jacqueline
Turkey - Temple of Shamanic Dream Healing with Shamanic Teacher, writer, dreamer Robert Moss Sept 27-Oct 2, 2012
It was a very extraordinary and healing time in Turkey with Robert Moss. Robert is a practical mystic, teacher, author of over 20 books (nine on shamanic dreaming) and a shaman. He weaved a wonderful and magical shamanic dream adventure for all of us in Guzelcamli, Turkey, an experience I will never forget. It was transformational. We visited some extraordinary sacred sites (below) where we did some of our shamanic dream work e.g. Temple of Asklepion in Pergamon, Temple of Apollo in Didyma, Miletus, Temple of Athena in Pyriene. I hope Robert will come to Switzerland one day for more dreaming adventures, so watch this space!
